Ana Hernandez is an artist living and working in Bulbancha, also known as New Orleans, Louisiana. Hernandez's practice centers on contributing to the historical and ongoing collective movement of reimagining, envisioning, and co-creating systems of change, global justice, and healing. She is a co-founding member of Level Artist Collective and has been nominated for and awarded artist residencies by the Joan Mitchell Foundation and Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Hernandez's work has been exhibited from New Orleans to Antarctica at locations such as the New Orleans Museum of Art, Ogden Museum of Southern Art, Xavier University, and Stella Jones Gallery, among others.
Jeremy Toussaint-Baptiste's work, spanning roles as artist, composer, and performer, considers errant relations that push toward the limits of subjectivity. Toussaint-Baptiste has exhibited and performed at museums and institutions including The Institute of Contemporary Art at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU); 1708 Gallery; Berlin Atonal; MoMA PS1; Philadelphia Museum of Art; and the Studio Museum in Harlem. The artist has also received awards, fellowships, and residencies from the Camargo Foundation Core Program (2022); Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, Sound Artist-In-Residence (2021), and Rauschenberg Residency 381 (2019), among others. Toussaint-Baptiste holds an MFA in Performance and Interactive Media Arts from Brooklyn College and is currently Assistant Professor of Sculpture & Extended Media at Virginia Commonwealth University. Other Plans is a contemporary art gallery located at the intersection of Dumaine and Galvez Streets in New Orleans, Louisiana. Founded in 2023 by Louisiana native Emily Wilkerson, the gallery presents solo and two-person exhibitions by an inter-generational group of artists whose practices address the most pressing issues of our time.
